  3. Keep track of your miles with a website like DailyMile.com

Chanhassen High School and Culver’s Raise Money with “Custard for Kids!”

Culvers donation to Ecuadorian Childrens Cancer Foundation

Many thanks to the students at Chanhassen High School and Culver’s, who created the first ever Custard for Kids event on June 5, and made it a smashing success!

On a hot and sunny day, Chanhassen High School students along with Mark Oman from Culver’s sold frosty treats and made $200 for the Ecuadorian Children’s Cancer Foundation.

That’s enough for one oximeter, which SOLCA needs desperately. An oximeter will allow nurses and doctors to monitor the children undergoing treatment much more effectively.

Thanks again guys!

New Start, New Name

We are now the Ecuadorian Children’s Cancer Foundation

We’ve been making changes here at ECCF–and our name isn’t the only thing. You’ll notice that now we’re officially a foundation, rather than a fund.

We realized that we needed to narrow our focus, since there are so many people in need of our help. By limiting our work to Ecuadorian children, rather than all Latino children, we will be able to more effectively use our resources to make a difference in children’s lives.

Stay tuned for more info!

Alex’s No More Chemo Party!

Alex and the Rolando Ochoa Fund for Latino Children with Cancer

Congratulations to Alex on finishing her chemo!

On September 25, we will be celebrating Alex’s No More Chemo Party! This means Alex is finally done with the chemotherapy she’s been undergoing since she was diagnosed with leukemia.

Alex’s illness, and the loss of her Grandfather to cancer, has inspired her mother Maria to start the Rolando Ochoa Fund for Latino Children with Cancer.

To make a donation to the Rolando Ochoa Fund in honor of Alex finishing her chemotherapy, (or as a birthday present, since her birthday is also in September) you can visit our How to Help page for instructions on writing checks or sending online donations.

Felicitaciónes, Alex!!
